This page will be about a Monarch Arms AR-10 in DPMS pattern .308 that I built. This build is unique in that this was one of their tests beds to run an AR-10 platform that took stock HK G3 magazines. Being that I have several HK’s and many G3 mags, this was an intriguing purchase for me. It has a Ballistic Advantage barrel and I started it with a standard non adjustable gas block.
You will see below, both 7.62×51 and .308 factory rounds that I fired at target at 100 yards. I only have a 3-10 scope on this gun and I was shooting at 1 inch dots. The first shots are with a non adjustable gas block.
Then I will install an agb and re-fire to see difference if any to the brass. Personally, I think this is way over gassed, and it is fairly sharp on the recoil, proper .308 buffer and spring is installed. Just stock parts.
